  1. Low FPS

So I got a new PC the other week and I just installed DayZ. I was told it would run DayZ fine but I tried just now and it runs at an average of 17/18 FPS on "Very Low". I was wondering what graphics card you DayZ players use. Also, if I need to upgrade, what card do you recommend for DayZ and other games? (My Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GT 630)
  2. Ive been watching people play this game for about 4 years or so all the way back to the mod and I am finally at the point of getting a computer capable of running it and playing the game, but i really know nothing about what to get or building a pc... there seems to be some conflict online as the minimum requirements to run DayZ... I dont really want to have to build. its not that i couldnt, I would just prefer to purchase something at a nice price under 5 hundred bucks that i would be able to plug in and just start playing on. I am also planning on doing content creation on youtube, running sony vegas... etc... and maybe streaming eventually. Ive been looking around online and I think I have narrowed my selections down to three choices, though if someone else wants to reccomend an out of the box ready to go machine at a cheap price I would gladly welcome it. The three computers my eyes are on are: https://www.google.com/shopping/product/15188106930899739063?q=desktop+computer&biw=1024&bih=608&bav=on.2,or.r_cp.&bvm=bv.132479545,d.dmo&tch=1&ech=1&psi=W0_YV4uoGMnqed3OlZgL.1473793885134.13&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiIp-yliY3PAhVMPT4KHZNoA-wQrRIISw http://www.storenvy.com/products/17585507-gaming-asus-rog-gl752vw-t4015d?gclid=CLCfmfOHjc8CFRY2gQodvYMFzQ and... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229285 any advice out of the three would be welcomed and appreciated. and again.. i would like to stay under 500 bucks. Cheaper the better as I would probably not be playing that much or anything. just casually.
  3. Hey i am new to DayZ, and i was wondering if anybody knows the best possible video settings for the Nvidia Geforce 920m graphics card, it seems laggy or skipping frames when i look around, any help would be much appircated!!!!!
  4. Computer Build

So im gonna build a computer and I want it to run Dayz on high to max settings with 40-50 fps. I am also looking to run BFHL and BF4 at ultra settings at ~60. I've done ALOT of research regarding GPUs CPUs and what is best and I've put together this on Pcpartpicker. I was wondering if this would be good or if I could improve in some areas or if its to overkill in others. Also, my budget is $1400-1550 http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YJYkqs
  5. Looking to upgrade my graphics card to a possible ASUS GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2gb Graphic Card. Im currently running an Nvidia GeForce GT 640. My other current specs are - Windows 8 64bit, AMD FX-6100 Six Core Processor, 8gb of ram, and CPU speed of 3.3GHz with a 520watt PSU. Im wondering if I purchase the ASUS GTX 750 Ti 2gb, if I will have to upgrade anything else in my PC, and if it'll make a significant difference in my gameplay for DayZ Mod, DayZ Standalone and other games as well. Any help is appreciated, thanks! *link to product* https://www.mikescomputershop.com/product/2780503
  6. Nvidia gt 610

Should this graphics card (in title) even able to run Dayz at decent frames? I have played with it lately and had very poor performance on the lowest of settings. I understand the game is in alpha and not fully optimized yet. Is the card it holding performance back or maybe something else?
  7. Should I upgrade my Radeon HD 7700 or my i3 3220
  8. Hey, I am brand new here and just installed DayZ a little while ago. I am having a lot of trouble with the game. Everything opens up and runs fine, but I am getting a tremendous amount of lag that I am assuming is from the graphics requirements being too high. I know very little about computers and I was wondering if you guys could help me out and dumb it down a bit for me. I have an ASUS CM1730 with AMD Phenom II x6 1065t processor 2.90GHz, 8.00 GB of RAM, and a HP S2031 monitor. Can you guys please tell me if it is most likely the graphics card that I need to update or what the problem is? And please give me your opinions on what I should do to fix it. Thanks.
  9. I am thinking about getting a Radeon HD 5450 PCI Edition because I do not have a pci-e slot. Will this be able to run direct3D. Please let me know :D
  10. some graphics card advice

Hi guys i noticed there seems to be alot of technical knowledge in this forum so thought i would ask you guys , i currently have a fx6300 , 128 ssd , 8 gb ram , and a radeon hd6500 2gb graphics card , im currently thinking of purchasing a gtx650 1mb as got a spare £80 to splash would you guys think this is a worthwhile upgrade and would i see much improvement ? thanks guys
  11. So today I played DayZ standalone for the first time and I was really unhappy with the performance, since my computer is getting really old and the hardware is getting very outdated. I decided that I should upgrade my processor and graphics card. I researched a bit online and found that the "GTX 650 Ti Boost" could work good for me since I have around $ 200 to spend on my graphics card. Is there a better choice for the price? What processor would be good along side this graphics card to run games such as DayZ Standalone smoothly (I would prefer not to go over $200 on the processor either if possible)? And finally would I need to buy/adjust anything else in my setup to work with the new parts? These are my current rig: Windows Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit Processor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz Graphics Card: GeForce 9600 GT Total RAM: 8.0 GB
  12. Hey there, I get really bad FPS in dayZ, ranging from 5 (highly populated epoch servers) to 25 on deserted vanilla servers. My specs are as following: Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 RAM: 4GB Motherboard:Gigabyte EP45-UD3P GPU: Radeon HD5750 Which one of these parts is the main problem? Any other info you want me to give that might help you help me? Any help would be appreciated.
  13. Hello, So I've been playing DayZ for over a year now and up until now I could stand the lag I'm having but now I decided to look into upgrading my PC to achieve better performance. I usually get 10-25 fps while playing normal DayZ but then if i play mods such as Epoch or Breaking Point I get no more than 15 fps. Some servers are really laggy for me and some are a bit better. I have a good internet connection so I don't think that's the problem but my graphics card and processor are quite outdated. Here are my specs below so please tell me what I should upgrade and what new parts I should buy, just remember my price range is only up to about $250 and I would like to get at least 40 fps on all servers so I don't need anything too powerful, I just wish to play the game smoothly. Thanks :) Windows Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit Processor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz Graphics Card: GeForce 9600 GT Total RAM: 8.0 GB
  14. My options are in the title. I plan on getting these, as well as the rest of my build, very very soon. Which one to get? Keep in mind that the 770 is really only around ~$400 AUD and that leaves room for a lot more (monitors, peripherals etc). The 780 comes in at around $650 - $750 AUD, and the 780 ti comes in at around $850 AUD. Planned build: i7 4770k Noctua NH-D14 MSI Z87 G45 Gaming edition 120gb SSD -GPU- 650w SeaSonic PSU I really only plan on gaming, a little bit of video editing, photoshop and 3D modelling. halp?

  17. Well hello . I've had this all in one computer for a while now and I play arma 2 and rarely dayz . Mostly because I run DayZ with about 10 fps , and arma 2 with 15 fps . I know , I REALLY need an upgrade. Thats where you guys come in , I don't know anything about computer building , I would like if one of you guys could send me some links for some pre-built gaming computers Or maybe a computer you don't need anymore and want to sell , with a maximum budget of 1,500$ . 18. I have been researching ALOT but have not been able to come across a specific thread on my kind of system specs. All I really want to know is if i can at least run on Med-High with 30 + fps System specs: CPU: Intel I5 3330 3Ghz (3.2Ghz Turbo) GPU: XFX Radeon 7850 1gb Ultra OC Black edition MoBo:ASRock Z75 Pro3 LGA RAM: 6Gb (mismatched but I'm getting an upgrade soon) I also had questions on server population (dont really worry about this unless you dont mind answering, much obliged) FPS on a 20 player server? 30 or 40? 19. Upgrade for more fps?

I want more fps on dayz what should I upgrade first to see improvements on my fps? I currently have: Intel i3-3220 dual core 3.3GHz and AMD Radeon HD 7750 2GB I can upgrade to: Intel 3rd gen i7-3770k quad core 3.5GHz or Nvidia Asus GeForce GTX 660 Ti Links are here: Core - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Generation-i7-3770K-3-50GHz-Technology/dp/B007X1JM30 Card - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008X3CMSE/ref=asc_df_B008X3CMSE13411853?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&tag=hydra0b-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22206&creativeASIN=B008X3CMSE&hvpos=1o2&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=786273363956045631&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=
  20. Finally got it!

It's about time but I finally got enough money to buy my new graphics card! The MSI Radeon 7870! Before it I had a 6670 and I got terrible frames. It wasn't bad at first for a low budget build but now after upgrading I'm happy I spent the $250 on it! Now instead of getting 35 -45 frames on low for Battlefield 3 I get 65 on Ultra! I also see a big difference in the way I play Arma/DayZ. I get way better frames in towns and cities, and it makes playing a whole ton easier when I'm trying to find and kill an enemy with good frames. Here are some pictures of the unboxing and what the card looks like. http://imgur.com/a/q5V2X#0
  21. Hey guys I am going to get a new graphics card (will post link at the end) But I am new to computer gaming and all this stuff. I just found out for the card I'm getting I will need a 500 watt (or more) Power supply for my computer. At the moment my computer has a 300 watt and I have a HP Pavilion P7-1267c. I have been looking all over the Internet for a 500 or more watt power supply and can't find one. As I said I am new to this stuff so if someone could help me find a power source that'd be awesome. Also if you could tell me if this graphics card is good (it's the one I'm getting) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125419
  22. I think it's time for a Graphics card update for me and with the budget i'm able to give, HD7850 is the best value for money at the moment. I'm making this Topic to ask, Does anyone have this graphics card(The 1GB version)with an AMD Phenom II x6 1075T? If yes, can you tell me your framerates and in what settings you get them. My main concern is Arma and Dayz. But any other game measurements are welcome. Currently i have the GTX550Ti with the CPU stated above and 8Gb of Kingstone RAM at 1600Mhz. Everything is stock, no overclocks are involved. Cheers.
  23. Hoping to buy this.

Welp I'm planning on upgrading my graphics soon and I'm set on this. http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814127681 (MSI R7870 HAWK) It's a little out of my price range but I think I can manage getting the card. Currently I have the Saphire Radeon HD 6670 ( http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814102988 ) as a starter card because at the time I wanted to start cheap and start adding better components. Right now the 6670 isn't up to par with most games. A decent amount can be run on high these games are very small low load games that don't put a lot of stress on the graphics card, but some object and need to be run on very low settings such as Arma 3, Battlefield 3 and even Arma 2 when I'm playing I can't play with high quality and terrible frame rates so I'm forced to turn them down. If you have any other options on a graphics card you can post it below. EDIT: Okay. I guess this graphics card is discontinued on Newegg? Time to buy it on Amazon I guess..
  24. Harrooo.. My computer has shat its self not long ago, and won't play any of my games, except strangely, for ArmA III. (And yes I have reinstalled them) The games always have colour glitches and hideous texture deformites, (scopes are impossible to look through, houses look caved in etc) so after a relatively unhelpful trip to the doctors, my computer was diagnose with fucked graphics card. So onto eBay I went looking for a replacment, but I want to know how to tell if a graphics card will be compatible with my computer? Is there some kind of website, or can I check on the computer? Please help! Thanks
  25. New to PC gaming

Hi, I have had my eye on DayZ and PC gaming for a long time now. I have used can you run it to see if I can and my graphics card is my problem. I have an Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family which I know is laughable. I need a cheap graphics card capable of running DayZ and my budget is up to £50. I know this is not a great amount of money but I would really like to start off with something cheap and slowly build up, thanks.
