Great ideas here BoneZ. I would like to add an idea for the cans and bottles. Maybe there will be a purpose for them? If melee weapons or classes were introduced, one I think of is a blacksmith. For example you find 20 cans and a few empty bottles. You could go to a factory and smelt the steel and glass to create melee weapons, molotov cocktails, tools, or parts for vehicles.

Most vehicles can be found towards the North of the map and usually need repairing first!

I've experienced this too, on several servers with vehicles since 1.5.8.4. I was able to repair a vehicle before the patch. For the same vehicle now the only option is to save it. -

Hi guys. Just letting you know that we havent forgotten about this. I'm a sore thorn in rockets side atm on this matter and will try to get him to put aside some development time for a fix :) Some info, after a few playtests of mine: - Vehicles that are "destroyed" (crashing,zombie dmg etc) will despawn and not spawn back in afterwards to the original location. This will probably be fixed later . So for now, if you're careful about your vehicle don't destroy it :) - Repair options seem to be semi-broken with the new inventory system. A fix for this will hopefully be in a bit later. No ETA yet. - Choppers inventory saving is a bit shoddy sometimes while in the air but seems to work "most of the time". Will do more playtests to see if I can reproduce this (checking DB entries of inventory and active vehicle). -

Too many bored server admins spawning NVGs for themselves and all their friends' date=' then going to night servers to pray on new players. Besides, "thriving with activity" is a bit of a stretch. Most night servers are between 10/50 and 25/50 while the daytime servers are virtually always packed to the point of needing to spam refresh in order to get into the game. That's telling. I'm guessing they're reading them and considering them carefully. That's the whole point to an Alpha. I don't think the darkness level has been altered from the original ARMA engine - a game in which players are usually traveling in vehicles or have no scarcity of NVGs. It's entirely possible they are open to this discussion. Assuming they are sitting there "laughing at us" is presumptious. -

There are several topics that have been posted about this bug already, it doesn't only effect tents, it does it with barb wire, sand bags, vehicles, and probably a few others. ATM a friend and I are slightly unhappy (although the game is in alpha so cant really complain) but we have a car missing only 2 tires fueled and ready to go but we cant finish it because of this bug. I sincerely hope that someone who isnt experiencing this bug doesn't stroll along and finish the car we've worked so hard to complete. We can only hope for a quick hotfix :D -
Hey folks, Been playing on your servers quite a lot lately as i can't stand the game aids on regular servers. Can you confirm that there are vehicles on all 4 of your servers? In my time on server 2 i haven't seen a single one.

Vehicles are from my experience unstable and buggy as sh*t. Every time I finally find a vehicle its gone after the next server restart/crash/shutdown/whatever and never appears back again.

Really, it's a very good idea. But since vehicles don't respawn, and they almost always are moved by players, it's near impossible to get a vehicle using this list. Anyway, a BAF Offroad spawns at Dubrovka at the crossroad next to a fence. Also, a Hatchback spawns at the North West of Tulga. -

So i guess we just have to wait and see when the issues with cars are fixed. I really hope its soon, as im running out of objectives. A car or two would be sweet. One for storage in a very secure location and one for fun. While we wait, does anyone know a website that has a list of servers that have the cars activated (i know new ones dont spawn)? I have spent two days looking for a server (Europe) with vehicles, but no luck. I have seen vehicles twice before, but i had no idea they dont appear on every server and did not take note on what servers they were. This game is SweeT. Havent played this much since Tomb Raider 2 came out and thats some time ago. Actually, i must have played more of this in two weeks than i did play TR2 in total. My very first post, EFB -

yeah sometimes, when server restart, some vehicles or tents arent loaded proprely. They arent lost, they just dont appear. One or two restart usually fix it. Also prime time doesnt help -
Still by scroll menu. It's works if u die and then u can refill cans and refuel vehicles until u get in vehicle.

You're right, but there are several actions that do not take place in the gear menu. Gutting animals, repairing vehicles, saving tents. These are just a few actions that happen on the menu. See my video in the original post to see what the problem with this is right now. -

So we are finally getting our servers up. We hope to put up between 3-8 servers in partnership with Vilayer Hosting. We have also now gotten over 55 recruits! That means the the mother unit (1CAV) is now totaling over 125 members! Come check out the CQF on Teamspeak or the site www.thefirstcav.com We are continuing to assist survivors and as soon as vehicles become more operable again we will find as many as possible to use to secure friends and bring them to the north. Please keep an eye out for us. -

since vehicles were removed i say remove choppers completely. why would some elitist clan members be allowed to use what "regular" players cant ?

I've updated FR4 with this version and the new HIVE but can not repair or refuel vehicles or refill jerry cans at the fuel tanks. Is anyone having this trouble? There's been no reports of trouble connecting or spawning though :)
