  1. Greetings! If you clicked this thread then you're looking for a new home to play on.  I wanted a server that was challenging to play on but not overwhelming with the amount of mods found on it. I chose the mods I did because I wanted to recreate the Arma 2 DayZ mod as close as I could to the current Standalone version. My plans are to cycle the weather mods so the server feels like it's progressing through the seasons. I am looking for active people who want to play on a server run by an active admin. I am looking for everything, PvP players and non-PvP. I am looking for people who will not complain in the event they die, get raided, etc (i've had enough of this already). I have one medium sized active clan on the server and they are slightly hostile to players. I am not giving anyone an advantage, gear, help, or anything. I want a level playing field for everyone. I did NOT add all the weapons and equipment from those mods, I only added Russian weapons/uniforms and a few US weapons to recreate the A2Mod feel. I don't care if you lonewolf, squad, whatever, I just want people. The server currently has 30 slots. I saw no reason to make it bigger due to the small community. If the community grows, so will the number of slots on the server.

NOTE: THIS SERVER WILL NEVER HAVE TRADER, MISSIONS, OR ANY OF THAT SILLY CRAP. I will NOT make this too easy for the community.

Our information is below, I hope to see you there. Also, feel free to ask any questions you might have below.

  2. How long does it take for things to decompose or despawn? I've been finding random weapons in places they shouldn't be which tells me that someone died there (You drop your gun when you die and the body poofs). However, this server i'm on looks to have been active at one point and then suddenly became a ghost town with only a few active. So is there any place I can look to find despawn timers on weapons and such?

  3. I'm not sure the actual reasoning, I just know they've always been called hives. I assumed it was because a hive is interconnected in itself and multiple sleeves all doing the same thing and connecting to the same thing. That's pretty much what DayZ public hives are. They're the same server, replicated but each one having their own things going on there. At least that's what I always went with.

  4. Any community Vanilla servers out there? Prefer US based with no 3pp. We shut ours down and we're looking to move to a server and join in with another community. Anything out there? We seriously don't want to go to a public hive.

When I say -Vanilla- I mean with no mods or at least as few as we can get.

Perhaps you should purchase a second copy of DayZ and store your stuff on another character.  Mobile and secure storage!

I mean, I do this so I gotta agree here. Having a second character hiding in a house somewhere with gear carrying bags full of stuff is the best way to store kit and stuff.

    Why not fix aiming lag

There was no such problem before.

You added delayed aiming in order to fix ghost bullets

This problem is not for everyone. Only people with high ping will have this

    Very unfair and unreasonable

    You are online discrimination

The problem of the game itself makes the player suffer

just fix aiming lag ok?What are you thinking about using bugs to fix bugs

I had a good time with version 1.06. Although there are ghost bullets,it’s better than seeing the enemy raising the gun  aiming,It will freeze and cannot shoot immediately, right?

We already explained to you the reason you get aim lag us because you chose to play on a server with high latency. That's not a game issue, that's a you issue.

I know vehicles are far from perfect, but they get much worse on underpowered servers with too many mods and/or too many players. That basically describes most rental GSP.

Just want to point out the modded servers are NOT covered or supported by the Devs. When you log in to modded servers it tells you that it can cause stability issues and to use them at your own risk.

Devs aren't concerned about modded servers, they are worried about official servers. Server mod issueissues are the mod authors problem and the server admin to insure they are installed correctly.

They've added Aiming lag to fix ghost bullets, and every time you aim and shoot, they check the bullets based on your delay.

No....no... no, that's not how this works. They don't add flaws or bugs like that to fix other bugs.

That's why ,They use bug to fix bug, game makes the player sad

But they don't use bugs to fix bugs. They fix bugs and to the best of my knowledge this was not a problem.

You can find a 300 Ping server and aim a gun, and you'll see that aiming will Lag and you can't shoot right away.

Your answer is right there in your first post. It has nothing to do with the game itself.

    300 Ping server

Right there's the answer to your problem, it's not the game, you're getting latency due to a 300 ping server. This is the same problem with a delay in opening doors and zombie strikes hitting you when you're some distance away. Find a lower ping server and your gameplay should improve.

We've spent weeks combing the map and there's NOTHING because dupers have ruined the server integrity; no weapons are spawning aside from Mosins and pistols.

If you're not finding anything but Mosins and pistols then thats not a duping issue. SKS and AKS-74 have no limit to server amounts. Furthermore they recently changed it so a lot of the higher end guns don't have a limit. Looking through the files there's not much that can be limited by hoarding now. If you go into your game files and look for Types.xml you can see what guns do and do not have a spawn limit.... or that may be a server issue, which you can download the client and then fish the files. In fact, I encourage you to so in order to raise your awareness on how the loot system works.

Okay I'm not sure why I'm having such a hard time figuring this out. I am trying to play on a particular server with my buddy however it keeps spawning me with one of my alternate characters which I have never played before. How do I remove the other characters from the servers so I can just pick my main character?

I'm a bit confused. What do you mean alternate characters? As far as I was aware DayZ didn't have a feature to allow multiple characters per server.

  11. Still waiting for you to show me where I said the game is fine.

It's really hard to figure out if you're actually serious with this topic or you're just trolling. Every point you have given up to this point has been wrong and I have proven it wrong. You make up quotes as you need them and quite frankly at this point I almost quit replying. I'll save you the trouble of actually reading a post by me:

I have never said the game was fine.

I never once said the game was without fault nor implied it was fine.

I did say the game has minor issues that keep it from being perfect such as minor bugs and content not being implemented.

I eagerly wait for your next troll.. err... reply.

For me, 1.1 is the Beginning after a very long break, because a working weather system with impact on the player is the most important factor to make it that what it calls: Survival. Also Namalsk looks very interesting and i see no other games like this on the horizon. Harsh weather can also be a all time game changer because it can surprise you always and this breaks the routine.

I btw would also pay a fee to play on official servers. maybe something like 10€ for 6 month. Or something based on hours.

Your name and rank together are actually kinda funny.

3k hours on the coast. 🤣

You’re right. Everything is fine. Nothing can be done about the problems that don’t exist.  People shouldn’t have to be responsible for their own product.

I never said the game was fine and nothing was wrong. Again, where are you getting your information? You're quick to quote obscure references so maybe you could enlighten me to that? I get it, you're salty, but if you're going to debate and give quotes use fact not opinion.

  14. That's a pretty impressive list.

WoW, Swtor, Final Fantasy, UO (until the code got old), Runescapes, Eve Online, Dragonquest, GTA Online, Everquest, and many others have profited from subscription funds and used that money to regulate their servers, which would otherwise have more cheaters/griefers.

Let's start from the top, shall we?

World of Warcraft : Overrun with Chinese gold farmers on the Retail servers constantly using exploits and bots to make money which is then RMT to other players. Oh, and (tee-hee) the russian fly hackers who literally took over the Arena scene for ... how long? Fly hacking all over the place there? That was cute too. Yeah, NO problem at all with WoW hacking. 😏
Star Wars the Old Republic : Same problem as above. Chinese players use bots and exploits to make credits in the game.
    Eve Online : See Above
Runescape: I mean, it's not like it doesn't have a huge botting problem now, right? Right? Right.
Dragonquest : I actually had to look this up because i've never heard of this game ever. I mean i've played the RPG's but didn't even know it had an MMO, which shows how popular it is... and considering you said Planetside 2 was irrelevant due to not being a high player base i'm going to chalk this up in the same category due to it being a non-US game.
GTA Online : Seriously? Are you serious? There's no hacking in GTA Online?

That's from May, and this isn't just a one off video. I have friends who play it, and they can confirm that the game is chock full of hackers in almost every other lobby.
Everquest : Dead game. The only thing keeping the servers alive at this point are the progression servers and I would know because I actually play EQ. And there's no hacking? Uh, MQ2 is one of the biggest hacking programs out there right before they took the teleport feature out of it.

    So.... yeah... you were saying?
