Through my experience on the newest experimental , shotguns still suck :( two people at the end of a narrow hallway in the piano room fired at me so I unloaded two shots of the shotgun (full length) into the middle of them but the shots both missed cuz it didnt spread like a shotgun should :0 ! And the crossbow is unbearably weak now for some reason ? At one point I was taking people out with 2 shots to the body now it takes like 5 ! Can't wait for the grenades to be fixed either it seems like they don't work but I want to see them in action so bad :) -

I keep getting killed by the tops of buildings :( ... Me and a friend were traveling across the continent to explore and we ended up getting to NW airfield , I went to the atc rooftop to check it out for loot and "you are dead" appears . This weirds me out cuz me and my friend are in the same room so if there was a gun shot I would have heard it off of his monitor ... He waited for minutes to Log to make sure it wasn't a glitched sound not sounding (like If I had gotten sniped and his game just didnt get the sound of it) but there was noone else around . I believe this is the 2nd time this has happened to me in this patch alone (probably 4th in all of my 598 hrs in standalone) , and the first 3 times were fire station top floors and school rooftops , is there something causing this in the new patch to make it more frequent as it has already happened to me twice in just a day or so ? -
Although you are correct with many people wanting NOTHING but civilian weaponry , I think you're underestimating the huge group of people (myself included ) that wanted some dangerous weaponry like grenades , maybe not a launcher but definitely grenades and land mines (which would be incredibly rare) mixed with a huge majority of civilian like weapons .. I feel if we only had Civilian rifles (and the autos we have now m4/akm) people with m4s and Akms would be too overpowered , so in my opinion adding a grenade is an amazing option to take out camping m4 weilders..... And to also take out hordes of zombies when zombies get better and more plentiful .

Hasn't this always been in the game ? But besides the northeast airfield change, anything worth hopping on experimental ? Cuz I have to say stable is not very stable , large amounts of Desync and Desync-rubberbanding on my favorite hardcore servers , and they are as close to me as possible and usually are very good at connection but after this last push to stable it seems like their rubberbanding fix is putting a lot of strain on certain servers :0! -
What does initial implementation of dynamic server events mean ? I saw it on the change log posted on the first page , I assume it's for the heli crashes or something ?

I see this one go locked every now and again .... Russians .. Ip adress : 173.199.67.195:2302 Please try and unlock this one devs as far as I know locking servers is a no no ! (Not really a big deal if I can't get in this server it just makes me mad seeing kids do this all the time )

This patch without rubberbanding feels awesome , it's definitely ready for stable.. But it does need some tweaks before it goes like more animals across the continent , they only seem to be (mostly) in the west as opposed to east ( I'm guessing to get us to go out west more) but its just not enough animals for an apocalypse that kills only humans :0 ! Also I haven't found the longhorn once , I've almost forgotten about it between the rubberbanding and wait for stable haha , I think increasing the spawn amount of that gun would be best cuz most of us haven't even tested it yet =P . But besides that this patch definitely is stable worthy :) ! -

Sleeping would work , just like sitting in this game is a risk. Sleeping would just be greater risk but while you're sleeping you'd regenerate blood faster .. I think many would take that risk including me for a quick boost in health (obviously quick is an overstatement , it would take like 30 mins or so to regenerate half Health from almost 0 , or whatever works ). And eventually I would love to see a lot of the couches and chairs "sitable" lol it just adds to immersion !

Dude , we understand you're upset , we also have understood your issues with this game since weeks ago . It's not "constructive critisicm" anymore it's just good ol' fashion bitching. Can't wait to leave this 11 hour shift to get some dayz-ing in before I play The Bouncer all night ;) .. Best solo martial arts game ever lol.. -
I'm hoping within tomorrow's maintenance or maybe next week on Wednesdays maintenance , it's been like 2 weeks or maybe more so I feel something in the air soon :) .

To be fair guys, occlusion culling has something to do with optimization so lets not compare dayz alpha with fully released arma 3 =D. And besides we all know that the new renderer and 64 bit is being worked on so lets keep this conversation til those come out .. But I'm really hoping some nice surprises come with this push to stable . -
I like the idea ... I want radio stations that are huge and enter able and these vans , along with a better walkie talkie (one that can actually give and receive signals) ... It would just increase role playing and imagination so much :) .

Experimental Servers Stuck (US East)

Well I have to say I've never seen the experimental servers so bad . Literally at least 10 are shut down and have been for more than 3 days now. My guess is they are waiting for the update to fix the servers but it just keeps getting postponed most likely cuz they keep finding issues with fixing rubberbanding or something , so well just have to squeeze into one of the other 15 servers or so(I play hardcore) , although I do say that is kind of annoying seeing as we need to test this stuff ? But that being said we've already beaten .45 to death , were just waiting on the rubber to go away so we can move onto the next "testing" . P.s: experimental hardcore servers were packed the other night , forcing me to go to regular severs for the first time in months :0 . That's serious business lol ! -

Oh we all know ping isn't causing rubberbanding lol , but it does add into it especially if you're lagging and your trying to run out of a building. Also I've noticed rubberbanding is much worse (like unbearable bad) when you have a red link at the bottom of your screen which is the indicator that your having troubles responding to server , so unless the rubberbanding itself causes the red link which I highly doubt , I've come to a dirty conclusion that lag and ping has to have SOME part in making rubber banding worse ,obviously we know the real issue why rbanding happens but I'm just saying these things like ping/lag seem to add to the depth of the rubberbanding. But to let you win I'm frustrated at the rubberbanding too, I haven't been able to break 600 hrs because of it :( ! But it's ok we love dayz, and dayz loves us young raging padawan ! -
Damn , thought we would have chainsaws soon :0 oh well can't wait for the push to stable !

Soooo... Has anyone else seen that awesome trailer on dayz.com ? I went to it by accident (which I never knew there was a dayz.com website lol ) and it's a minute and a Half long clip and it shows barricades (barely seen hedgehogs to the left of the screen with field of zombies jumping at character) a guy weilding a chainsaw , suicide animation and new reticle .. I wonder is this from before they opened to to early access or was the website and trailer just made ?! Edit : can't wait for experimental to be pushed to stable !!( just so this post is relevant plz?)

Guess not , might as well leave now and never return ... :) . Can't wait for this push to stable , regardless of all the people saying its unplayable, it truly isn't its just very frustrating when you're trying to rush , you CAN'T rush Around in experimental or you rubberband all over the place :0 or if you find a crap ping server cuz lag seems to play into the rubberbanding as well . Ps: movement is fluid and clean for me , try playing two months ago before the forced mouse acceleration was fixed, you must be lagging cuz the movement is much better than it was 2 months ago . -

For some reason I haven't found one on the eastern part of the map. In my experience on experimetal I've only found 3 animals : a chicken , a deer , and a cow all within a triangular like proximity between three towns near NW airfield ... Always found in a field for me , although naturally I thought first to look in the woods .. But it's so exciting seeing them I can't wait til they replace the ones that are placeholders ! -

Well unless it was a visual glitch , I saw a crossbow spawn right in front of me at the north east airfield ... It seemed to just "pop out of nowhere" but it could definitely have been a weird unknown visual glitch ... Can't wait til loot respawns efficiently .
