OMG! I ran an A3 Esseker (Exile Reborn) server for KillinZedz! I love this map! Of course, this really belongs in the DayZ SA forums, not the A2 DayZ mod forum: https://forums.dayz.com/forum/160-terrain/

I'd guess it would be as old as the first game you played that has BE.

What's a zerg attack?

It's a good thing that DayZ is so modable, so all of you with your own opinions can set up your own servers to be the way YOU think it should be! Now, let's get to 1.10 so Namalsk can be released!!!

I wanted to change the loot that spawns in the cabins. Instead of Hunting loot, I wanted other stuff to spawn there. Here's what i did: I opened mapgroupproto.xml and I found "Land_Camp_House_red", "Land_Camp_House_white" and "Land_Camp_House_brown". I changed the usage name from "Hunting" to "Cabin". In cfglimitsdefinition.xml, I added this line: <usage name="Cabin"/>. This was placed just below the "Prison" line. I edited my types.xml, assigning many items to "Cabin". I deleted my server's database and restarted. When I spawn in and go to a cabin, it appears to still be spawning Hunting loot. For example, I found 12ga slugs. Those are not in the Cabin loot. So, any idea what I might have done wrong? Did I miss a step someplace?

50? No. I'd be happy with 10 - 15 to start with.

It seems the dev team barely tests the vanilla game. I can't imagine they're doing any testing of mods.

After you edit the settings, go into your database folder and delete the "events" files.

I got a response to this elsewhere. Apparently there are areas of Livonia that are designated as military that override the building's loot. There's also areas that are labeled as hunting, overriding the new Cabin loot. So, is there a map someplace that shows the zones (not the tiers) that are overridden? For example, I know that Nidek, which is a ruined village, spawns military items because it's in the military zone. The izurvive map doesn't show this. It only shows what the building's loot is supposed to be.

Something to keep in mind is this: If a server has a ping limit and a player goes over that limit for even a second, they are kicked. The way it should work is that it checks your ping over a time period and if the average ping is too high, then it kicks you. I'm guessing the way it actually works is a limit of the engine. Also, you really can't complain about how many crashes or kicks you get when you're running servers with tons of mods. That changes the game in ways the devs didn't test or protect against. See if you get the same thing playing vanilla.

Are we unable to light fires if we place it on the floor of a building?
-
Where can we find out more about this?
-
Soooo... stable tomorrow? Please?
-
The devs have said multiple times that the game isn't designed for more than 60 slots.
-
Damn, really thought we'd see a stable release today 😞

zombie_territories.xml determines the positions of the zombies and the minimum and maximum that will spawn in each spot. globals.xml will allow you to set a maximum server wide limit. If you have a large amount of players on the server and they're evenly spread out, you'll run out of zombies quickly so each zombie spawn will have less, so adjust this file appropriately. events.xml control what zombies and how many of each can spawn in each group of zombies. A misconfigured types.xml can cause zombies not to spawn, so use an online xml validator or restore the default file and start over.

Well, there is Namalsk, which is in development, but we don't know when that will come out.
-
I've seen that in videos but I would never have guess that was the bug you were referring to.
-
You still haven't told us what the bug is.
-
I think this is a bad language translation... Do you know what a meatball is?
-
Those of you reporting the weight bugs, you are putting all of this in the Feedback tracker, right?
-
You might want to tell us what glitch you're taking about...
-
Might want to report that to the Feedback tracker.

All an admin needs to do is use Notepad++ with it's Compare feature and compare a vanilla types.xml from 1.07 and 1.08. Quite easy actually.
