Grenades, frag grenades. If I was a survivor and there was a whole bunch of Zombies coming at me, I would "nade em"! And DogZ... And pygmy ponies. -
Rule of Thumb (or so I am led to believe), if there is no image description of the weapon when you open your Gear menu, risky... Correct me if I'm wrong.

Did you ever look at the Island Namalsk ? You should do.

Arrow keys here. important: togle lean left/right = l&r mouse tilt + evasive l & r (allows you to roll over when prone. step over = end. free look= numeric 0 change fire= flare/throw...= page down L shift toggle walk/run mouse+ = crouch mouse - = stand/prone MB4 = reload MMB set to B for binoculars I could go on but remember ArmA is one of the few games that will let you map more than one action per key. Once you have worked it out there is nothing better. Good luck.

Ah ha, if this is your first try at MP with your ArmA2 game you might try connecting to a vanilla CO multy player game. I helped someone last week who had a similer problem. Once he played ArmA on-line the problem solved itself. I seem to remember that at time of release the game required some form of on-line validation. This may not be your situation but it's the best I can come up with at the moment. Good luck.

I do not understand the negative view on this dogZ question. I do understand that a many of you are new to the possibilitiess that the ArmA engine (for want of a better term) is capable of. Believe me when I say that a bad dog or a good dog will bring a whole new element into the game-play. Now, I have no idea of what is in the works but from a personal mission making experience I promise you that if you have a friend (mans best) next to you while you are camping in the woods sitting around a fire eating beanZ with a buddy and your stuff hidden away in the tent and Blitzy starts growling, you are going to panic, you are going to shyte yourself where it hurts. If on the other hand ze Zombie Wolfs attack, you are going to panic, you are going to shyte yourself where it hurts... I know, I've been there. I will be waiting in the shadows. Carry on.

The idea is good, how to make it work while keeping a random balance? It's very hard to meet up at the moment partly because of the Z spawn "problem", making it through 3 or 4 villages to a meeting place is deadly dangerous...

Dogs can add a very interesting element. I once made a mission using *Blitzy* a bit of scripting magic made by Big Daddy, a long, long time ago. So, I had a dog protecting me, that was cool. There were enemy patrols roaming with dogs, that was scary. I'll check the thread just to see what all the noise is about. Thanks.

Display drivers have stopped working?

Try setting the video memory to "default" in the in-game video options. I sometimes have "gliches", I can solve this in game by changing between default & high settings and back again if needed. -

Did you type dayz in the (in game) server browser filter ? Is your ArmA2 addons folder free of anything PR. *It is very important to keep your original ArmA addons folder "clean". Good luck. -
Not sure but it may just have something to do with the stats being reset with the new web site and the Zombie re-spawn numbers being a little exaggerated with the last Alpha build.

You should post in the help forum. Make a folder named @dayz. In that folder make another one named addons. Unzip all of the required dayz files into the addons folder. Place the complete @dayz folder in your main ArmAII game directory. (C:/programs/BI/ArmAII). Now make a copy of the arma2oa application, look in the Start line for this "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2oa.exe" add this -mod=@dayz It should look like this "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2oa.exe" -mod=@dayz. Easy :ô/\ô: There is a launcher that has been made by the community for the community, check it out. Hope that helps.

I reckon this thread has its place. All the others are in praise of the Zombie count. Being in a group or playing with a buddy is not a fix for the current build. Ten Z's or more repeatedly spawning out of a small barn in the middle of nowhere is not helping anybody, lone wolf or not.

My mate shot someone who shot at me and his humanity steadily increased with time. I don't think he reached or desended to the bandit level but it sorted itself out with time.

Why are you adding command lines that are not necessary. The game (ArmAII) is more than capable of detecting the most fitting resolution and video memory settings. Then you may start tweaking here and there to get that little extra boost that you think you need. W7 64bit and only one gtx460 here.

Bit of a game breaker imho. I played for about 7 hours yesterday with a budy. It has become near imposible to make any decent progress. I'm sure that some people like the increase in the Zombie count but to this extent the game is not playing out the way it should be. Anyhow, this was not intended and don't get me wrong the previous build had problems with the Z spawns, so it did seem a little too easy but the way things are with the current build it will put people off from playing the game and that is a no no. It would be cool if the Z spawn count was a server side setting but that would make the game a bot vs player DM game and nothing more. I will be playing again today so if you don't agree with my thoughts, come and shoot me, I promise I will not rage quit :ô/\ô: Thanks.
